Salt Lake City band Junior Giant thrills crowds with original tunes and jams. The band’s youthful exuberance informs their lyrics and performances. Spencer Linsley started writing songs and laying down tracks in the studio under the guidance of his father, Jim Carroll Band founder Brian Linsley. Along with Spencer’s childhood friends J.T. Nebeker on bass, Skip Hardy on Drums, and Nashville vet Giles Reaves on keys – a band was hatched with pedigree, originality and radio friendly hooks. Junior Giant has recorded several songs at the studios of famed producer Jay Ferguson (Spirit, Thunder Bay and the TV show ‘The Office’.) The result can be heard on radio stations nationally including 101.1 WFNX Boston; Outbound Radio; WBRU, Providence, RI; XM Radio's 'The Radar Report'; X96 in SLC and MTV’s Soundscan. Recent shows include the Snowbird Rock ‘n’ Blues Festival with Keb Mo. Junior Giant also opened for Rehab at the Avalon Theatre, and for Locksley on MTV’s Choose or Lose Tour, The Gallivan Center Fat Flake Festival and many local shows at the New Song Underground in SLC. http://www.myspace.com/juniorgiant |
